SMS / Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

Effective February 14, 2026

1. Program Description

MedNex Healthcare Platform ("MedNex") sends SMS messages to keep patients and providers connected. When you opt in, you agree to receive text messages at the mobile number you give us. These messages relate to your healthcare only -- we do not send marketing or promotional texts.

2. Message Types & Use Cases

We only send texts related to your healthcare. Examples include:

Appointment Management

Reminders, confirmations, rescheduling notifications, and cancellation notices

Clinical Notifications

Follow-up care instructions, medication reminders, lab result availability

Billing & Payments

Payment confirmations, balance reminders, and billing statements

Important Health Alerts

Urgent care notifications, health advisories, and wellness check-ins

3. Consent & Opt-In

When you enter your mobile number on our registration, intake, or scheduling form and check the SMS consent box, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from MedNex at that number. You do not need to consent to texts to use our services or make purchases.

Opt-In Methods:

  • Web Form: Checking the SMS consent checkbox during patient registration, intake, or appointment scheduling on mednexapp.com
  • Keyword: Texting START, YES, SUBSCRIBE, or OPTIN to our designated number

4. Message Frequency

How often you hear from us depends on your appointments, care plans, and billing. Expect up to 10 messages per month. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

5. Opt-In Confirmation Message

After you opt in, you will receive the following confirmation message:

Appointment Reminder

MedNex: Reminder - You have an appointment with Dr. Smith on 02/20/2026 at 10:00 AM at Main Clinic. Reply CONFIRM to confirm or call (305) 209-0001 to reschedule. Reply STOP to opt out.

Care Follow-Up

MedNex: Your lab results are now available. Please log in to your patient portal or contact your provider's office at (305) 209-0001. Reply STOP to opt out.

Billing Notification

MedNex: A new statement of $75.00 is available for your recent visit. View or pay at mednexapp.com or call (305) 209-0001. Reply STOP to opt out.

7. How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving texts at any time. Here's how:

  • 1.Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any MedNex text message
  • 2.Call us at (305) 209-0001 and request to be removed
  • 3.Email support@mednexapp.com with "SMS Opt-Out" in the subject line
  • 4.Update your communication preferences in your patient portal at mednexapp.com

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message:

10. Supported Carriers

Our texts work with all major U.S. carriers: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and most regional providers. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

11. Data Sharing & Privacy

We will never sell, rent, or share your phone number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing. Your number is used only to send the healthcare messages described here, and all SMS data handling follows HIPAA and applicable privacy laws.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. All of our third-party partners are HIPAA-compliant and have signed Business Associate Agreements with us.
